The medieval town of Chauvigny is located in the Poitou-Charentes region, in the department of the Vienne.

Chauvigny is a busy market town on the banks of the Vienne just 23km east of Poitiers. Chauvigny’s impressive five-castles-wide medieval ruins, which strike a formidable silhouette against a setting sun, have been ingeniously recrafted to accommodate a bird spectacle set to music called the Giants of the Sky.
