Lake Rules

Maximum of three rods per person

Use of our unhooking mats, landing nets and weighing slings are mandatory

Wet unhooking mats before use

Keep nets are forbidden

No barbed hooks or bent hooks of any kind, barbless only

No nuts, seed or hemp to be used as bait

No rods to be left unattended at anytime

All fish must be cared for and handled responsibly. They are to be put back immediately

Use of Klin-ik antibacterial solution is mandatory, (available for purchase at 8 euros per 30ml bottle)

No litter, including lines, hooks, cans or cigarette butts to be left around the lake - please use bins provided. We allow glass bottles lakeside but it is your responsibility to dispose of these at the bottle bank. Please do not put these in the rubbish bins

No children under the age of 12 to be left unsupervised lakeside

Only one swim to be used by each angler

No fires or barbecues lakeside

No braid for main line

Never stand when holding or handling fish

No sacking of fish

No Swimming

Maximum of 12lb breaking strain line for carp and pike fishing

No fixed leads or lead core leaders

No particle baits allowed. Trout and carp pellets, sweetcorn, luncheon meat or bread are permitted. Dog mixers can be used for floating

Removal or introduction of fish is strictly prohibited

Wire traces only to be used for pike fishing

Respect all wildlife and vegetation – wildlife has total priority at Lake Mirabelle

No permits are required and night fishing is permitted

A maximum of 4 anglers are allowed to fish unless prior approval has been obtained

Respect others and do not cause a disturbance to fellow anglers or neighbouring properties. Ensure mobile phones volumes are low and alcohol is drunk responsibly.

We visit the lake daily, and at any time have the right to check that these rules are being adhered to. We deem the party leader (the person whose name is on the booking form) to be responsible for their party. Any breach of these rules could lead to the instant termination of the whole groups booking without recompense, which includes the loss of security deposit

The management reserves the right to amend these rules or add new rules at any time

Your security deposit will be forfeited if any of the equipment supplied is damaged or for breaking any of the above rules; otherwise the deposit is refunded in full at the end of your holiday. You are entirely responsible for the full replacement cost of any damage caused by you to anything owned by Lake Mirabelle.

We are sure you would agree that most of these rules are in place to protect the welfare of our fish. We want you to catch them in pristine condition and by following these simple rules help to ensure this is so. Likewise, we want the lake and the environment to be kept in pristine condition for everyone's enjoyment, so we ask please if you can leave it as you found it and we thank you for doing so.
